Holiday Season 2007
Looks like it is
going to be a fun-filled holiday season for Coqui Fire. We just
found out that we will be appearing in an article about Vieques
in December's edition of Travel and Leisure! Also, we entered
our anniversary hot sauce (now known as Thankful Frog Sauce) in
the 2008 Scovie Awards. This is like the academy awards of
hot sauces and we have our fingers crossed. Results should be
out mid-November. We were just contacted by the New York Times
Travel and Leisure section. They are interested in doing an
article on affordable places in Vieques and the Coqui Fire
Cafe's name was mentioned. But most exciting is that on December
20th Issac Samuel Armbruster will become the newest member of
the Coqui Family. No, not another wonderful hot sauce, another
wonderful grandson!
HAPPY HOLIDAY'S
EVERYONE!
September 2007
Things have gone so
well at The Coqui Fire Cafe that we have decided to open 2
nights a week. We will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays starting
at 5pm with our last seating at 9pm. Be sure to stop by if you
are in the neighborhood.
July
16th, 2007
Coqui
Fire celebrated its fifth anniversary. It was held at the Enchanted
Garden Inn property where the Coqui Fire Cafe is located.
There were over 250 people in attendance. We introduced the 5th
anniversary commemorative hot sauce bottle and the magic color
changing t-shirts. We had a Coqui Fire cook-off and there were
lots of door prizes.
June 29th- 30th, 2007
Coqui
Fire participated in the third annual "Taste of the Islands"
culinary event held at Martineau Bay Resort and Spa. Culinary artists from the most notable
restaurants in the Caribbean joined together to celebrate the
art of fine dining while benefiting the Vieques
Conservation and Historical Trust and the Reach for Success
Youth Program. Coqui Fire Cafe served a spicy wild
mushroom tamale and mango marinated pork carnitas to some rave
reviews!
March 5th,

a rave review in the Washington Post. Check out our menus. We look
forward to seeing you!
